And so the ride begins......Sometime back in January Elder Gibson had an itch that wouldn't go away. As much as he tried he couldn't stop the itching. Sister Gibson, usually ever so willing to help, suggested that she wouldn't mind scratching it but she would rather wait a year or so. The itching continued until Brother Gibson found relief in the Senior Missionaries Bulletin. They were looking for Senior Missionaries Couples to serve in the Nauvoo Mission. Over the next months the itching continued on and off and Sister Gibson soon realized that this itch wasn't going away and she'd better start scratching before it drove the two of them nuts. Soon her fingernails were bitten away with anxiety but slowly the scratching prepared her for the inevitable time that she would literally "push the button" to send in the missionary application. One would think that would have cured the itch but it returned to both of them as they (im)patiently waited six weeks for a call to come. With a shout of joy and relief the call was received on July 28, 2016 to serve in the Illinois, Nauvoo Mission for eighteen months. And so with faith in the future and adventure on the horizon they move forward to a cherished and rewarding experience in Old Nauvoo.
